I started Training Excellence in March 2007 because I saw certain needs. First, many people go to gyms to because they lack confidence or friendships. Unfortunately, these people can often get caught up in vanity and unhealthy narcissism rather than the goal of better health and fitness. There's nothing wrong with looking good, but it shouldn't be our main focus. The Christian can get caught up in the unhealthy gym culture if he or she isn't careful. Instead, to stay strong physically and spiritually, I felt that a fellowship of believers was needed. Another reason is if someone looks on the internet for ten minutes on the subject of health and fitness, he or she will probably be overrun with the wrong information and quick fix it schemes. It is important to have fun, but professionalism, discipline, and patience develops strong characters and strong bodies. In addition, we have a King to serve, and why not serve Him with all our being--mind, body and spirit.
